The 1980s — Where It All Started
Pat Johnston grew up as his father's helper. When he was about eight years old, he watched his dad convert their screened-in porch into a family room, complete with a large brick fireplace, stained oak beams, and a ceiling of stained pine joists with tongue and groove. Standing on that newly poured concrete floor, looking at the walls and the large bay window, Pat thought to himself: someday I will own a business making cool things like that.
2000s — A Decade of Learning the Details
Pat spent ten years in residential new home construction management, learning every detail of how a high-quality home is built from the ground up. That foundation gave him the technical expertise and the eye for detail that Buckingham is known for today.
May 2010 — Buckingham Is Born
Pat made the leap and started his own company, committed to doing things differently. Smaller crews, personal oversight, honest pricing, and the kind of care that only comes from someone who treats your home the way he treats his own.
April 2023 — A New Name, Same Standards
The company rebranded to Buckingham Bath & Home Remodeling to better reflect the full scope of services offered to homeowners across Bucks County. The name changed, but the values, the people, and the commitment to craftsmanship stayed exactly the same.

After ten years in residential construction management, Pat founded the company in 2010 with a commitment to honest communication, meticulous craftsmanship, and treating every client like family. He’s the kind of person who checks on your project every single day, who catches details most people would miss, and who won’t sign off on anything until it exceeds the standard.
Pat is a NARI certified professional and holds Pennsylvania license PAHIC#032181. But what he’s most proud of isn’t a certification. It’s the relationships he’s built with clients who trust him with their homes and recommend him to the people they care about.

Step 2: In-Home Visit
Pat comes to you. He’ll walk through the space firsthand, see exactly where the pain points are, and get a real feel for what your home needs. This is where ideas start turning into a real plan.
Step 3: Design & Material Selection
This is where your vision takes shape. Pat presents three tailored options, A, B, or C, covering colors, materials, and design direction based on everything you’ve shared. You’ll review inspiration photos together, refine the details, and once you’ve landed on the right fit, Pat builds a formal proposal in JobTread so you can see exactly where your investment is going.
Step 4: Build & Communication
Pat and his team get to work, and you’re never left wondering what’s happening. Throughout construction, Pat keeps you updated personally via phone and text, addresses anything that comes up in real time, and makes sure every detail is done right the first time.
Step 5: Final Walkthrough
By the time you reach this step, there shouldn’t be any surprises, because Pat has been communicating with you the whole way through. He’ll walk the finished space with you, answer any questions, and make sure you have everything you need to care for your new space for years to come.
